Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had your fill of turkey and enjoyed some time with family and friends for the Thanksgiving Holiday!

I recently had the opportunity to stop and visit the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum outside of Lincoln, Nebraska. I highly recommend a visit if you are ever in the area. Beside the unique collection of, primarily, military aircraft are spacecraft and many interactive displays to keep the younger aviators entertained.

Our Chapter elections were held last month and, of course, there have been a few changes. I want to thank Stephanie McClellan for her service the last two years as vice-president and chair of the Barnstormer’s committee which is a monumental task. I also want to thank Marty Papanek for his service the last several years as chapter secretary keeping us all organized and inline (as much as anyone could). A big thank you to Nancy Johnson for her time last year as Membership Director.

As you should know by now, Mike Land was nominated and has become our next chapter secretary, thanks Mike! Mark Ward has been appointed to take over for Mike as our new Young Eagles Coordinator. Arnie Quast is back, taking over as the new Membership Director.
We are still actively seeking a Vice-President candidate, if you wish to know more about the opportunity or want to volunteer or nominate someone please reach out!

We will not hold a December Chapter Gathering (as usual) but December 9th will be the Galt Airport/JB Aviation Christmas Party!
Our next gathering will be January 13th, please join us for a FAAST Team presentation by Kyle Lewis from the AOPA Safety Foundation on “Risk Stacking”. Later the same evening we will once again host our annual Chapter Social at the Rusty Nail. Look for details of these events in this newsletter and the reminder emails you will see soon.
See you all soon! Happy Holidays!
