Our October 8th chapter gathering was very special. If you were unable to attend, you missed out on a really neat experience. Our friends from EAA Chapter 1414 at Poplar Grove, and the Wings and Wheels Museum flew their Curtiss Jenny restoration aircraft to Galt Airport. The Jenny was piloted by Tim Gallagher, and the support crew accompanying the Jenny included Steve McGreevy, Wally Falardeau, and Ken Starzyk. The crew gave us an informative overview of the airplane. A lot of meticulous work was put into this project. It is truly an amazing piece of aviation history. Back in 2019, our chapter made a visit to Poplar Grove to check out the construction progress of the Jenny. Since then they have come a long way in completing and flying this special airplane. It takes a lot of resources to keep this airplane flying. Read all about the Jenny in this link, and if you feel like it, any donations to keep the airplane flying are much appreciated! A big “thanks” goes out to the folks at Poplar Grove for bringing the Jenny to our Galt doorstep!
