I would again like to thank all of the chapter members of EAA Chapter 932 who made it possible for me to receive the Ray Aviation Flight Training Scholarship. These past few weeks have been amazing, even if the cold winter conditions stopped some of my training, because I got to visit Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida! I absolutely loved it, and even though I don’t plan to major in aviation, the flight line was incredible, and I can definitely see myself pursuing further flight training at Daytona Beach International Airport. As of right now, I plan to major in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Astronomy and Astrophysics.

My training has been going well and has been very exciting as of late, since I flew to my first two towered airports. We first flew to Janesville, and then during the next lesson we flew to Kenosha, where I got to make my first radio calls on my own with ATC! I am now continuing cross-country flight training and starting preparations for my cross-country solo. I can’t wait to see what March holds, and I can’t thank the members of EAA 932 enough for giving me the Ray Aviation Flight Training Scholarship, and also the ability to make my dreams of flying a reality.
