Scholarship Update from Rebekah Busse – EAA 932 Scholarship Director

If you haven’t heard, EAA Chapter 932 was approved for another Ray Aviation Scholarship in 2023!  This is fantastic news!  Our Chapter will also continue awarding the Ed Moricoli Memorial Flight Training Scholarship. While the Ray Aviation scholarship comes fully funded from EAA headquarters, the Ed Moricoli Scholarship relies on donations from our chapter members and airport community.  The funding for this scholarship currently stands at $7000 with a goal of reaching $10,000.  Please help us reach our goal of fully funding this scholarship.  If you are able, tax deductible donations can be made here:  https://eaa932.org/eaa-932-donations/.  Thank you to everyone for your support and generous donations.

Our current Ray Aviation scholars are making great progress!  Andy Klein’s Private Pilot checkride is scheduled in April and Syd Krause is about to complete her first solo cross-country flight.

Starting April 1st, go to EAA932.org to nominate a 15-19 year old candidate for the Ray Aviation Scholarship. For those 18 and over, applications for the Ed Moricoli Scholarship are also open.

Application and Nomination deadline is June 30th, 2023

Candidate interviews will be held on Wednesday July 12, 2023

Scholarship recipients will be announced on Wednesday July 19, 2023
