January has arrived, and we will have a fresh start at EAA 932!  First off, Arnie Quast has decided to turn over the reins of chapter leadership.  While he may not be our president any longer, I am sure he will remain a very active part of Chapter 932.  I will do my best to continue moving the chapter forward in my new role as your president.

Also, our Director of Membership, Kurt Guillan, is moving out of the area as a result of a new promotion (congratulations Kurt!), and is turning over his duties to Nancy Johnson.  Thank you to Nancy for stepping up to help!

Deena Schwartz is moving on from the Scholarship Coordinator position which will now be turned over to Rebekah Busse.  Thank you, Deena, for all of your hard work.

Mike Land is our Chapter’s newest EAA Technical Counselor! Congratulations Mike!

In terms of upcoming events, our annual Chapter Social is almost here.  On Saturday, January 14th we will be hosting the social at the Rusty Nail Saloon in Ringwood between 5:30 to 8:00 pm.  Please join us, because this is going be a fun event.  Registration is open on our website, so please sign up as soon as you can!  We are requesting RSVP’s by January 9th.  You can register for the social by clicking on this link.

Our February gathering will be on Saturday February 11th.  We will have Mr. Paul Maloy, EAA Director of Education joining us to talk about EAA’s Aeroeducate program.

We are also starting to plan for this year’s Barnstormer’s Day.  Please let us know if you would like to help with planning this fun event that we host every June.  This is an “all hands on deck” event for our chapter, and we can use everyone’s help.

If you have any ideas on what you would like to see at our chapter gatherings or events, please drop me an email with any ideas that you might have.  My email is bill@eaa932.org .

I hope to see everyone at the chapter social on January 14th!  Until then, fly safe, and stay warm!
