President Report – Arnie Quast

Hello EAA 932 Members!

The cold weather months are slowly creeping by us!  I hope that everyone is staying warm and healthy as we navigate these rugged winter months.  As mentioned last month, our year kicked off a bit slow due to the uptick in Covid.  Despite this, our chapter remains engaged and ready to move forward!  Our February virtual gathering was well attended, and very informative.   Thanks to all who tuned in, along with Justin Cleland and Beth Rehm for putting on an excellent program.  The folks at JB Aviation have really put together some fantastic resources to help us all do a great job on our flight reviews, and more importantly become better pilots.  Covid numbers are on the decrease, and restrictions in our area are starting to ease up.  As we move forward, our chapter board has decided to resume in-person gatherings at Galt Airport.  For our March 12thgathering, we will provide a hybrid solution in case there are people still concerned about meeting in-person.  We have a fantastic speaker lined up, and I hope to see all of you at this gathering.  Coffee and donuts will be served, and then we will hear about the “Secrets of the TRACON”.  Beyond this event, we have some really good activities planned for the coming weeks and months that include great gatherings, flyouts, and a fun chapter social.  Please check out our upcoming events!  I highly encourage everyone to get out and re-engage with our chapter!  Wishing all of you safe flying, and I’ll see you at the airport!

All my best,
