President Report – Arnie Quast
Greetings EAA 932 Chapter Members

I hope that everyone is having a good summer.  This month I am composing my message from a camper located in the friendly confines of Airventure’s Camp Scholler at Oshkosh.  Many of our chapter members and folks from Galt Airport are camped out up here for the week.  Other than some inclement weather haunting the opening weekend, it’s been sunny with temperatures in the mid 70’s.  Perfect Oshkosh weather!  I am always amazed at the sheer mass of pilots and aviation enthusiasts that make their annual pilgrimage to this awesome celebration of aviation.  As usual, Airventure comes and goes quick, but the excitement of Oshkosh energizes all of us year round!  EAA members are truly amazing folks.  As the summer progresses, our chapter will remain active with fun and unique gatherings on the horizon.  Please note that our August and September gatherings will be a bit off the normal schedule and locations.  In August we will gather on the 20th  instead of the 13th. Our plan will be to have a gathering in the Galt studio with coffee and donuts, and do an “Oshkosh Recap”.  Afterward folks can spectate the Annual JB Aviation Flour Bomb Drop that will be going on throughout the day.  This event is always a great time to enjoy with family and friends at Galt AIrport.  On September 10th instead of meeting at Galt, we will take a drive-out / fly-out trip to Hinckley Airport (0C2) to visit the Windy City Soaring Association –   Further details about our gatherings can be seen in the “EVENTS” tab on our chapter website.

Fly safe, and I hope to see you around the airport!
