Hello Galt community, my name is Adam Varrassi and I’m one of the instructors at JB Aviation. I live in Twin Lakes with my wife of 9 years, Kristen, and our three awesome kids, AJ, Lukas, and Emersyn. My aviation journey has been a winding road. I completed my flight training and became a CFI in 2011 through Illinois Aviation Academy at DuPage Airport (KDPA).
Since I was completely broke after all that dual, I accepted a job at Baxter Healthcare doing very non-aviation related jobs. I stayed for 10 years, even letting my CFI certificate expire. I had all but given up on my dreams of a career in Aviation when Covid turned everything upside down. Looking for an outlet I wandered into JB Aviation to start working on a flight review. Well, the rest they say is history. I didn’t stop at my flight review! I’ve since gotten my CFI reinstated, resigned my post at Baxter and have been teaching full time at JB since April 2022. In November I accepted a position as First Officer with SkyWest airlines and will leave for training in the spring to fly on the CRJ.
