In Person / Hybrid Gathering at the Galt Studio

Ever wonder what goes on behind the radar scope at Chicago Approach? Now is your chance to hear from and ask questions from a 13+ year ATC veteran at Chicago Approach. Aaron Barclay is both an air traffic controller and flight instructor. Having the experience of both sides of the radar scope, Aaron brings a comprehensive perspective to both pilots and fellow controllers alike to bridge the mysterious gap between the two. Curious how to best navigate in and out of Galt airport and receive ATC services VFR and IFR? Ever wonder why a controller says, “Sorry I was on the line”? Ever been curious about why you can’t file and go direct destination? Ever have grand visions of climbing through the bravo? Did you ever hear a controller say unable? Did you ever have a controller ignore you? Aaron will answer these questions and many more along with some embarrassing moments from controller and pilot alike.
