Glider Flying at Hinckley Airfield

This past April, chapter member Joe Nemec gave an interactive talk on glider flying. To compliment Joe’s spring discussion, we are having a glider-gathering at Hinkley Airfield (0C2).   Fly-in or drive. There is a 2600′ x 100′ grass runway. It is very suitable for most of the single engine airplanes that our chapter members fly.

OR it’s about an 1 1/2 drive from Galt.

Plan to meet between 10-11am at the airfield.

The glider rides will be made available to our chapter for the special price of $75 (the usual price is $200) for a 3000ft glider tow in either an ASK-21 or GROB-103 glider. Passengers must weigh less than 242 lbs.

Aside from gliders rides, folks who do not wish to fly in a glider can hang out and enjoy watching the glider operations in action.

Lunch will be provided – Bring a small side to share!  More information on this event forthcoming.  Please RSVP to Arnie Quast – arnie@eaa932.org for this event.
