Andy Ray Scholar Lightspeed HeadsetAs one of the many benefits of being a part of the EAA Ray Scholarship Program, scholarship recipients are eligible to receive a new Lightspeed Zulu headset once they achieve certain milestones. Once they are eligible, a scholar must submit an essay about their flight training thus far. Andy Klein became eligible once he passed his FAA written exam as he received his scholarship after his first solo. Syd Kraus solo’d last month and thus became eligible for a Lightspeed headset as well! Andy received his headset at our January dinner gathering and Syd will be receiving hers sometime in February. Lightspeed has been a most generous supporter of the EAA Ray Scholarship program!

EAA 932 has submitted an application to be a host of another Ray Scholarship for 2023. We will know if we have been approved by the end of February. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, if you are aware of anyone ages 16-19 who is interested in pursuing aviation, talk with them about the many opportunities, including this one, to help them on their path. If we are approved by the EAA, we will open the portal and start accepting nominations in March. Please check out the EAA 932 Scholarship page for more information.
