A Special Announcement from the Chapter President

Dear EAA Chapter 932 Family,

As all of you are aware, the Covid-19 virus situation which our entire nation and world are coping with is very serious. Federal, state, and local leaders have made directives that we all have to comply with to stay safe. All of you are aware of the precautions that we must take to cope with the current situation. This past week our EAA 932 Board had an online meeting to discuss our chapter moving forward during the pandemic. We unanimously decided to suspend all of our chapter activities for the next three months. This includes the April 11th Extreme Flight Simulator field trip, Young Eagles Rally in May, and Barnstormer Day in June. Everyone who signed up for the April 11th event and paid for their simulator time will be fully refunded. Please contact Rebekah at the Galt FBO to facilitate your refund. The response to this planned gathering was very good, so we expect to reschedule it.

As we get closer to the summer months, we will re-evaluate chapter activities. Throughout the next few weeks, if restrictions on group gatherings become less constraining, we could consider having some smaller, simple events at the airport. We will communicate via email, and post any updates on our chapter website at www.eaa932.org.

On another front, we still seek applications for our Ed Moricoli Memorial Scholarship. With everything going on, the application deadline may need to be extended. Again, check the website and look for further communication from our Scholarship Committee. Meantime, we encourage all eligible applicants to apply for this opportunity.

In the meantime, please stay attentive to the situation as it changes and take all necessary precautions. Our local EAA family and the entire Galt Airport community will work through this together. We look forward to your participation in our regular chapter activities when the situation improves.

Stay safe,

Arnie Quast

President, EAA Chapter 932
