Have you heard that EAA Chapter 932 received a $5000 grant from  The Community Foundation for McHenry County this year? These funds will be used to support the EAA Build and Fly Program which is starting this Fall.  The Community Foundation of McHenry County grant is directly helping us to fund the purchase of kits and supplies for this intensive RC model building and flying initiative which introduces community youth, ages 8-17, to aircraft construction and the fundamentals of flight.

We are extremely grateful to have received this grant. As we begin to grow the Build and Fly program at Galt Airport, we aim to foster an interest in the field of aviation and expand the chapter’s ability to host fun and interactive educational experiences free of charge for youth in the area. For those interested in volunteering for the Build and Fly Program, please contact Bill Tobin, the project leader.

Please come to our free Young Eagles event on Saturday October 9th to find out more information.
