Ron And Lori FriendHello! My name is Ron Friend. My wife, Lori, and I own a 1979 Cessna 172N Skyhawk. I had a great fear of flying all my life, couldn’t do it. In 2015 my Uncle Randy, who has been flying professionally and for fun his entire adult life, taught me why I shouldn’t fear flying. He gave me a couple of ground lessons and then he took me up in his Cessna 182. I was then hooked!

He brought me to Galt Airport in August of 2015. I signed up for flight lessons that same day. Three weeks later I leased a hangar at Galt and took delivery of the plane that I still own. I received my Private Pilot License in November of 2016. Then I leased the hangar next to me and I received my Ground School Instructor certificate in August of 2018. I have been the Ground School Instructor in the JB Aviation Flight School since then.

Flying my airplane at Galt is an amazing experience every time I fly. Teaching ground school to student pilots and helping them reach their aviation goals is very fulfilling and rewarding for me. And what ties everything together? What makes everything so pleasurable and keeps me passionate about coming out to Galt to fly and instruct for JB Aviation? It is the aviation community here at Galt. I enjoy all the people, their backgrounds, their experiences, and aviation stories. I can’t imagine being based anywhere else!
