It is nearly the end of January and our Young Eagles are making terrific progress on the Build and Fly Kadet e-LT40 radio controlled model airplane project. The wings are now nearly complete and work on the fuselage has begun. This week we will also be starting on assembly of the Field Box that will be used for carrying all of the support gear required when we are able to take the model out for its first flights.
We would like to thank all of the parents that continue to support your Young Eagles in this project, they all seem to be having a very good time! We also thank the volunteer instructors from both EAA Chapter 932 and from the Chain-O-Lakes Eagles RC Flying club. We could not put this program on without your help! I do suspect though, they are all having as much fun as the kids! A very big Thank-You goes out to the Community Foundation of McHenry County who have provided such generous support for this initiative!
